KITESURFING LA VENTANA, BAJA
Come down to Baja and get your kite on! La Ventana is the place to go for a west coast winter kitesurfing getaway. Located 2.5 hours north of Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula, La Ventana has warm water, warm winds and a long beach making it a great spot to continue your kitesurfing progression.
The winds are most consistent November through March. A good, classic La Ventana wind blows 20 to 25mph starting late morning and blowing till 5/6pm. There can be breaking swell that excites the wave-riders but the winds can also blow lighter, 10-15 making for great foiling conditions.
There are many accommodations but Hacienda Del Playa Kite Club is recommended. It’s a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom beachfront mansion that can booked by a group or by separate parties. It has great views from the various decks and has a pool and hot tub! You can launch your kite right in front from the below.
