Fly & Ride Intro:

If you’re curious about the sport and want to check it out, then sign up here. This 1 day (3hr) session introduces you to the sport’s two main components: board riding and kite flying. The KitePole pulls you up and across the water on a kiteboard as you lean back in your harness. Flying a full-size, 4-line kite, you dictate the kite’s movements and work with the wind. Lastly, you go through a self-rescue procedure. In the end, you have developed new skills and a clearer understanding of the sport.

One 3-Hour Session (1 Day Course) $385.

Fly & Ride XL

You are new to the sport but want the opportunity to bring the board and kite skills together. On the first day, you are introduced to the board skills (using the KitePole) and kite skills. On the 2nd day, you put it all together! You learn waterstarts, body-dragging, board retrieval, and discover what it takes to become to self-sufficient.

Two 3-Hour Sessions (2 Day Course) $735.

Fly and Ride -Ultimate Upwind-

You realize kitesurfing is not a sport learned in 1 or 2 sessions. You are dedicated to become proficient and confident to head out on your own. The Ultimate course begins like the XL course, but has 2 additional sessions for further training. The later two sessions focus on upwind riding. Along your journey, you encounter different wind/water conditions and new situations that challenge your abilities and enhance your awareness.

Four 3-Hour Sessions (4 Day Course) $1385.

Board Skills Training

Being able to ride a board accelerates the learning process as it teaches board control and prepares the rider for the kite-handling responsibilities. Using the KitePole, the upward pull of kite is simulated and gives the rider a feel of a live and active kite. This allows the rider to focus on developing skills in both a regular and goofy stance, both of which are necessary in kitesurfing. Specifically, you will learn how to distribute your weight correctly and consequently be in control of the board’s edge. The KitePole also teaches body-dragging and helps people acclimate themselves to being “hooked-in” with their harness. All gear included.

1-Hour Course $200.

Bay-Crossing

Test your endurance and kitesurf across the SF bay! Starting at Crissy Field and ending at the Berkeley Marina, the point of sail makes for a convenient down/cross-winder. The Windseeker jet-boat is there for support so you can fully enjoy the views of Alcatraz and Angel Island as you ride by. Take a break anytime and re-board the Windseeker for a snack. It's not a race, but with some friends, it could be.

3-4 hour Crossing $400.
$100 each additional rider.

Working On The Tricks

Come aboard the Windseeker jet-boat and venture to a flatwater location where you can work on tricks or just cruise in solitude. Coves, jetties, and points throughout the SF bay provide many "secret spots" that have steady winds and smooth water. There are also endless opportunities for downwinders where you will ride past features such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.

Or hop on the Windseeker jet-boat and anchor up at a nearby flat-water spot. The nearest location is 20-minutes away and it offers a windward shore blocking chop but allows a clear breeze. It's a great spot to throw new tricks! Bring some friends, (they don't all have to kite) and a appetite for adventure!

*Minimal instruction is offered during these tours. Riders are expected to be of intermediate skill level or PASA level 3
